Vineyards
The vineyards owned by the Estate, planted with Nebbiolo, are located among the old Giachini and Rocche dell’Annunziata church properties; in the Conca, Gattera and Gorette vineyards.
The wines made are: Dolcetto d’Alba (0.7 hectare of vineyard), Barbera d’Alba and Barbera d’Alba “Cabot du Re” aged in barriques for 18 months (0.7 hectare of vineyard), Barolo (2.3 hectares of vineyard), Barolo Vigna Giachini (0.5 hectare of vineyard), Barolo Vigna Conca (0.7 hectare of vineyard), Barolo Cerretta (0.5 hectare of vineyard), Barolo Vigna Gattera (1 hectare).
Our grapes ferment with temperature-controlled roto-maceration. The Barolo ages in French oak barriques, some new, and others used once or twice before, in variable percentages depending on the cru and the structure of the wine.
